Black Tech Link Receives HCAI Grant

May 23, 2022 – Black Tech Link is proud to announce that we are a 2022 recipient of the Health Careers Exploration Program (HCEP) Grant provided by the CA Department of Health Care Access & Information. HCEP provides program support for underrepresented and/or disadvantaged individuals interested in pursuing healthcare careers. Funds will be utilized to expand our 2nd Annual Community Health & STEM Fest to include a career fair and health expo as a part of the event taking place on August 27th at the San Diego College of Continuing Education – Educational Cultural Complex.

Black Tech Link Executive Director, Elizabeth Cotton, stated, “As a workforce solutions agency we are excited to receive this grant to help provide health career pathways to residents in the San Diego region. As 1 of 2 Black founded organizations awarded the opportunity we are dedicated to grow the level of Black and underrepresented talent in the Health sector.”

Black Tech Link has initiated partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and health companies to include Jireh Providers, CSU Fullerton School of Nursing, Multicultural Health Foundation, Champions for Health, Pepsi, ResMed, and more.
